Farida unveil plans for new ‘Artist Designed’ series

Farida have been heavily involved with UK artists large and small over the last six years, and this association looks set to move up a gear in 2011 with the announcement of plans for a new range of models designed with four high profile UK artists.

This new ‘Artist Designed’ range will feature four very different models, each designed in conjunction with a Farida endorsee to include all the dream features of a wishlist borne of years of trouring and recording.

Exactly which four artists are the first to design their dream instruments as part of this range is shrouded in secrecy, but this picture fresh from the factory gives a pretty big clue who one of them might be……

Farida Rock Glastonbury

A massive well done to all our bands who graced the stages of the UK’s monolithic Glastonbury festival at the weekend.

Thousands of fans who braved Friday’s mud and rain were well rewarded with glorious sunshine on Saturday, along with some truly stand out performances from some of the world’s biggest acts.

In particular we’d like to give a big mention to The Wombats and Two Door Cinema Club, who both played phenemonal sets on the Other stage. Watch out for some very exciting Farida news involving these two acts in the near future……..

Farida at Chester Rocks

Chester’s first major musical festival kicks off on the 2nd and 3rd of July, featuring some of the biggest names in Rock and Pop.

Set on the historic site of Chester Roodee, Britians oldest racecourse, and packed with entertainment for the whole family it looks set to be a winner.

Make you sure you catch some of the Farida endorsees playing at the festival, including I am Kloot, The Christians, Camera and The Loose Kites(pictured).

Frank Turner delights fans at Dawsons Chester

Farida endorsee Frank Turner confirmed his reputation as of the nicest guys in the Music Industry, meeting fans and signing everything from posters to body parts at Dawsons Music store in Chester.

Frank popped into the store ahead of his sold out show at Telfords warehouse in Chester on the 15th May, a rare intimate show for the former Million Dead frontman. Frank now embarks on yet another globe trotting tour, promoting his forthcoming album ‘England keep my Bones’, due for UK release on June 6th.

The Travelling band on the road again

At long last those Farida toting Mancunian minstrels The Travelling band are due to release their highly anticipated second album, available on May 30th and entitled ‘Screaming is Something’. For those of you who can’t wait that long their new single ‘Fairweather friends’ is also due for release on May 23rd.
