Bombay Bicycle Club are made up of Jack Steadman (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Jamie MacColl (guitar), Suren de Saram (drums) and Ed Nash (bass). The have experimented with a multitude of genres including electronica, folk, indie and world music.
Meeting at 15 the band began playing together at school, later meeting Nash to create the final line-up. The band rose to fame after winning Virgin Mobile’s ‘Road to V’ competition which won them the opportunity to open V Festival’s main stages in Staffordshire and Chelmsford in 2006.
The band have released four studio albums, ‘I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose’ (2009), ‘Flaws’ (2010), ‘A Different Kind of Fix’ (2011) and ’So Long, See You Tomorrow’ (2014).
Jamie MacColl and Jack Steadman both helped to produce Farida “Artist Designed” signature acoustic guitars. The Jamie MacColl A-62 and the A-52 JS OP. With just 25 piece created for each model, the design ethos behind the guitars was pure simplicity and playability. Each model is features unfussy styling and LR Baggs M1 active pickups. Acoustic Magazine said – “Certainly one of the biggest – and most pleasant – surprises I’ve had this year. A charming little acoustic with a lovely voice”
