The original Farida M-2 was recognised within the industry to be one of the best guitars in its class. Testimony to this was the superb rating it was awarded by ‘Guitar Choice’. Pushing the ability of the M-2 even further, the Farida M-2E Electro Acoustic Guitar delivers all that players loved about the original, but with the addition of a sophisticated pickup system.
The unique shape of the parlour requires that it be constructed form tonewoods capable of delivering a big volume and body of sound. To deliver this, the M-2E comes with a solid cedar top and stripe rosewood back and sides. The combination of these tone woods deliver comfort, clarity and projection. Although favoured by blues players and finger pickers, the comfortable parlour shape of the M-2E is small enough to be enjoyed by younger players that may find larger guitars cumbersome.
The neck of the Farida M-2E is crafted from mahogany and like the body, has a beautiful satin finish that not only pleases cosmetically, but adds ‘glide’ to the playing experience. The neck is home to a rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets and pearloid dot positional inlays. The classic headstock contains the vintage nickel 3 in line tuners that offer unparalleled accuracy and stability of tuning.
We didn’t want anything to get in the way of the brilliant playing experience with the M-2E, so to this end we fitted a discreet B-Band A1.2CR pickup system. Small, out of the way, yet of superb quality, you can count on this pickup to deliver your tone to the desired amplification source with precision and clarity. A single 9 volt battery means that you will get 750 hours of amplified playing time on average as well.
Compact in size, big on quality, the Farida M-2E guitar takes acclaimed foundations and improves with quality electronics. Superb for players of all skill levels that want that classic, parlour playing experience.
