Farida GNA TV designed by Freddie Cowan

Freddie Cowan of the platinum selling English indie band, The Vaccines, has been a long time Farida user.

Justin Young (lead vocals, guitar), Freddie Cowan (lead guitar, vocals), Árni Árnason (bass, vocals) and Pete Robertson (drums, vocals) formed the band formed in West London in 2010. With two studio albums under their belts, the first being ‘What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?’ in 2011 and ‘Come of Age’ in 2012. The latter charted at No. 1 in the UK album charts.

After their very first London show in 2011 an article in Clash magazine suggested the band could help start a new wave of guitar music. In the same year The Vaccines won the coveted Critics’ Choice Brit Award and came third in the BBC’s Sound of 2011.

The Vaccines guitarist, Freddie Cowan, collaborated with Farida Guitars to create two Artist Designed signature models. Firstly the GNA TV Pro featuring 3 Seymour Duncan SH2 Jass pick-ups, a licensed Bigsby tremolo and limited to only 25 models worldwide. The second, the more affordable GNA TV Deluxe that comes without the Bigsby and features pick-ups wound in house at Farida.

The Vaccines are set to tour again in 2015 in support of their third studio album.
