24 year old singer-songwriter Hannah Trigwell from Leeds, West Yorkshire represents a new generation of musicians. She found fame through her beautiful performances on the video sharing site YouTube.
Hannah is a self-taught singer and guitarist who, at the age of 17, started busking on the streets of Leeds. Consisting of gorgeous cover songs and original songs, Hannah’s YouTube page has had over 34.4 million total views with her version of ‘Stay With Me’ (originally by UK soul singer Sam Smith) has amassed almost 6 million views alone.
Hannah covers a magnitude of artists from a range of genres from R&B to Pop to Rock covering varied artists such as Leonard Cohen, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Cher and One Direction.
‘Hold My Heart’ is the name of Hannah’s debut EP that was released in May 2010 and peaked at no.6 on the iTunes album chart for Singer-Songwriters. The EP was so successful that Hannah went on to support fellow YouTube musicians Boyce Avenue during their sold out UK tour performing at Scala in London, Birmingham O2 Academy and Manchester Academy.
Her debut single ‘Headrush’ (released in 2011) was launched at a sold-out show at Leeds Cockpit. Hannah signed to US indie label 3 Peace Records in October 2012. 3 Peace Records was founded by the US-based Boyce Avenue.
Hannah is a talented multi-instrumentalist and uses the Farida JTB-13 Bass Guitar in Olympic White.
